Makita has announced the launch of two new powerful angle grinders. These heavy duty angle grinders have been introduced to the equipment manufacturer’s industrial range and are powered by twin 18v batteries, offering them 36v of power which is delivered to the high performance and brushless motor.

The two products that have been introduced to this rang by Makita is the 180mm and the 230mm cordless angle grinders. The equipment offers a range of new features in order to deliver the most operation productivity for the user. The intention behind the creation of these new tools is to offer a mains machine performance with complete manoeuvrability. Both the 180mm DGA700 and the 230mm DGA900 angle grinders are both powered by high torque Brushless motors. This means that the tolls can run op to 7,800 rpm and 6,500 rpm respectively. Maximum wheel thickness offered for these two angle grinders is 7.2mm for the DGA700 and 6.5mm for the DGA900.

Both of the new tools in Makita’s industrial range also feature Makita Active Feedback Sensing Technology. This feature means that the tool will shut down in order to protect the user if the rotation speed suddenly changes and slows down. As well as the Makita Automatic Torque Driving Technology, which has been included to automatically change to cutting speed in order to suit working conditions and deliver optimum operation and maximum delivery. It is thought that there are no other angle grinders available on the market at the moment that offers a greater amount of intelligence.

Another feature of these powerful cordless tools is the soft start that offers a reduced level of risk for torque twist on the initial start-up. There is also an electronic current limiter that shuts down the tool through the electric brake if the drive is snagged.
