Power distribution specialist releases new product catalogue
Power distribution specialist ide Systems has released a new sales catalogue for its range of engineered solutions. The catalogue features a range of permanent and temporary electrical distribution solutions suitable for a wide range of applications, along with complimentary case studies that demonstrate ide Systems’ bespoke services.
The catalogues, which are available to download from ide Systems’ website, feature colour coded sections which allow customers to accurately specify the right product for their applications. The catalogue is made up of several sections including: changeover systems, low voltage systems, single point power distribution, site power distribution, polyethylene power distribution, generator connection points, DS2 distribution and technical data.
Several condensed case studies appear throughout the catalogue, each showcasing a different type of engineered solution that ide Systems manufactured to meet the specific requirements of the customer. These include projects delivered for Good Hope Hospital, based in Birmingham, and ACC Liverpool, an events campus encompassing several venues in the area — including the Echo Arena.
“There is rarely a one-size-fits-all solution to electrical problems,” explained Matt Collins, business development manager of ide Systems. “While common issues can be addressed with standard ranges of equipment, there are situations that require bespoke products. The new catalogue is structured to highlight both the effectiveness of standard ranges and the benefits of bespoke designs, allowing the end user to make an informed decision.
“For example, one of the case studies in the catalogue looks at Good Hope Hospital in Birmingham, which required an upgrade to its existing electrical services. In order to complete the upgrade, the hospital required a 1000A three phase and neutral LV switchboard housed in a GRP enclosure that needed to fit the existing foot print and utilise the existing cable trenches, to minimise additional ground work costs.
“As well as delivering a product that met those requirements, ide engineers also added in 10kW heater, fire alarm access points and SWA cable access into the GRP distribution board. This is a situation where a customer required a specialist service and equipment they would not have been able to find off the shelf.”
In addition to the new product catalogue, ide Systems’ rental division is also releasing its annual catalogue to showcase the range of equipment available from its three centres across the UK. The standalone company, which operates separately to ide Systems, provides a rapid response service that offers same-day delivery of power distribution and cable. The ide Rental catalogue is also available to download from the website.
