Travers Smith LLP has been working with their long term client Patron Capital in regards to the sale of The Badby Group. The pan-European real estate private equity fund, Patron Capital are being advised by Travers smith as they sell Badby to Elysium Healthcare. The Badby Group is a specialist neuro disability care provider. Elysium Healthcare is backed by BC Partners and is a specialist mental healthcare provider. The Badby Group is a multi-award-winning group that is led by Tim Street and Daniel Kay who are specialists and are part of Patron Capital. The Badby Group has four facilities that are located around the country and the Group has seen an increase from 68 beds to 316 beds over the course of the five years. Tim Street is a senior advisor at Patron Capital and suggests that Patron has a reputation of investing in healthcare businesses that are award winning. The sale of The Badby Group has come after the sale of Gracewell Healthcare to Welltower that took place in 2014. Travers Smith LLP also advised the company in the Gracewell Healthcare sale three years ago.

Patron Capital was started in 1999 and since then the company has invested in more than 69 investments and programs. The investments have taken place in 16 different companies, although the main investment adviser, Patron Capital Advisors LLP is based in London.

Travers Smith is an international law firm that works on behalf of both publically listed and private companies as well as financial institutions and private equity clients. The firm also works with large and complex transactions that take place in the UK and cross-borders.
