Howarth Timber & Building Supplies has hosted a star-studded Sportsman’s Dinner in order to raise money for their charity partner this year, Cancer Research UK. The charity dinner was attended by more than 200 people. These attendees include supplier, manufacturers and guests of the company at the Manchester Marriott Victoria & Albert. The event took place on the 28th September and was a fantastic night spent raising money for a truly worthy cause.
The managing director of Howarth Timber & Building Supplies, Nick Howarth was also at the Marriott to host the event alongside the legend of England cricketing, Darren Gough and the award-winning comedian Gary Marshall and comedy scriptwriter Austin Knight, who were on hand to entertain the guests.
The Sportsman’s Dinners held in the past by the timber and building supplies company have created a valuable opportunity for their developers and clients to develop relationships and network. Therefore, it is even better that an event to build relationships and celebrate the company’s success has been used to raise money for Cancer Research UK.
Building relationships is an important part of the work carried out by Howarth Timber & Building Supplies. This more developed relationship with their customers allows Howarth Timber & Building supplies offer their high-quality products to their clients at competitive prices while also improving their knowledge in order to offer excellent customer service. In the past Howarth Timber & Building Supplies has raised in excess of £20,000 for Cancer Research UK and no doubt this recent dinner will have been just as successful as previous fundraising efforts.
The dinner has formed a part of Howarth Timber’s lead-up to their third annual Trade Day Bonanza, which will take place on the 10th November this year. The trade day will be taking place at the Leeds United Conference Center at Elland Road in Leeds.
