Office Block to Be Developed in Nottingham

A new office block has received planning permission to be developed in a prime location next to Nottingham Train Station. A derelict site in the city’s Southside will be redeveloped into a seven-storey building, Crocus Place, which will house more than 1,000 desk spaces.

Perfect Circle is delivering project management, cost management, health & safety advisory, BREEAM services, M&E consultancy and is acting as NEC supervisor via a selection of specialist teams and supply chain partners. This work was procured via the Scape National Built Environment Consultancy Services (BECS) framework.

“In such a strategic location in Nottingham’s city centre, next to major transport links with the rest of the UK and Europe and the UK’s major distribution hubs on the doorstep, Crocus Place will provide prime office space for businesses,” said Anthony Cork, regional director for Perfect Circle.

“Crocus Place will play a major role in the vast regeneration projects happening across Nottingham. The scheme is set to attract new businesses, as well as provide jobs and enhance surrounding public realm for the local community,” he added.

The proposed glass and brick designs of the building’s exterior for the office block will mirror the surrounding architecture. The scheme will use solar panels, air source heat pumps and electric car charging points to help minimise energy use and deliver strong sustainability credentials as the detailed construction design progresses.

“Our BECS framework has been designed to accelerate and optimise the provision of consultancy services for exciting projects such as Crocus Place. Businesses want and need state of the art premises which are also future proofing the environment by harnessing sustainable energy generation. By utilising the expertise within Perfect Circle, Crocus Place will further position Nottingham city as a thriving business community,” Mark Robinson, Scape Group chief executive said.

Work is due to start onsite later this year with Crocus Place expected to open in summer 2021
